"You're going to die in Armageddon"
by Jules Saturn ini'm sure i am not the only one to have heard this come out of the mouths of my loved ones.
it's a very painful thing to hear, especially when it comes from the people like your own parents/family.
even after i've been told that, they would say "we'll just continue life without you.

This was one of my first doubts as a small naive born in early on, how would such a loving god kill SO many innocent people. Cognitive dissonance was at work in me at 5 or 6 years old.

I know, it was quite an awakening when I realized the majority of who I thought loved me unconditionally really didn't. Surround yourself with people who build you up and you will thrive😊

My response is - I'm sorry you feel that way. Let's make the most of our present time together and enjoy our time together or I will have to remove myself from this negative talk. Sometimes I stay, sometimes I go, depends on who it is and how they respond.

Why do ones that got out come back in?
by moreconfusedthanever ini have not been to a meeting for about 2 years now.
i do not intend to go back but one thing has me baffled.
why do ones that have faded and been out for years return?

"The emotional blackmail and shunning from family in particular worked on him."
ok time for my 2 cents. This is exactly what is happening to us right now. We have been physically fading for almost 2 years and mentally about 4 years. Both sides of our in families are badgering us about returning to Jehovah. My husband is convinced it would be easier to just go back here and there rather than continue to "hurt" and stress them out. I don't agree because I know that won't be good enough. It disheartening to realized both sides of our brainwashed cult-ed families only love us conditionally. I never realized when we were the perfect cult couple that they never loved us for us.

July Broadcast - Bible Teach book and Keep Yourselves In Gods Love book
by pale.emperor ini didn't manage to last the whole broadcast.
it was so unbelievably boring that i only managed halfway before i switched it off.
in this broadcast anthony morris iii (who i affectionately call "the don") stresses to us the importance of studying - not one - but two of their publications in order to understand the bible.

Interestingly is was their book- draw close to Jehovah that we were studying at the midweek meeting that made me sit up and realize I don't want to be there anymore...

What is behind your choice of forum user name?
by stuckinarut2 injust curious how we all think.. what prompted or influenced your choice of username for this forum?.
there are some really amazing names, and it would be great to hear the stories behind them.... mine was nothing fancy.
i just felt "stuck in a rut too" along with so many others.

My name reflects my personality that whatever I believe I have to whole heartedly believe - if I don't believe it anymore - then I can't - it becomes nothing to me. I've resolved that I'm Probably just screwed up from our black and white upbringing, as I am a born in

Hello and welcome! I also have and still do sometimes suffer this depression you speak of. I sometimes think being a born in- there was this whole growing old thing that we weren't taught was a normal part of life. This was something that was supposed to be learned and accepted as a child not as a grown adult. I also think the pressure to "return to Jehovah" without being able to fully be up front and honest as to why we can't brings me down. Idk- just my 1 cent...😑

How can angels be sexually attracted to women?
by Island Man inthe nephilim account in genesis is utterly ridiculous when you consider that angels are sex-less beings and would therefore lack sex-drive and romantic attraction.
think of how difficult it is for humans with a sex drive to be sexually attracted to animals.
now take away that sex drive and it becomes literally impossible.

I have often pondered this same thought process, but from the position of why would god even allow it?
